Weekly somatics, breathwork, and embodied exploration
Chi & Eco-Harmonics: Weekly Group Practice

This weekly class is focused on developing a regular embodied research practice. The techniques draw on eco-somatics within the practice of Tai Chi Chuan -Tai Chi forms and Qi Gong movement meditation.

The class is led by Dominique Savitri Bonarjee, a qualified instructor trained by Stuart Verity of Integral Tai Chi, in the Wudang Hong Kong lineage of Cheng Tin Hung (Dan Doherty).

In this creative and exploratory eco-somatics weekly group, Dominique applies the 'mutations' approach by combining elements of Taoist martial arts, Tai Chi and Qi Gong forms, elements of Noguchi Seitai breath work, and Butoh imagery.

We practice the traditional Tai Chi Chuan forms as the basis for developing effortlessness (wuwei), harmony as a principle of breath (chi), how to become porous and available to being moved by honing our ecopoetic imaginaries. In the last half hour, participants are invited to improvise with the forms and exercises as a way to test out their learning.
